Hurricane

Pseudonym of Ivan Manuppelli (Milan, 1985), he is the founder and director of the magazines Puck! (2008) and Čapek (2018), and the author of the satirical strip “I Sopravvissuti” (published regularly first on linus and then in the newspaper Il Manifesto) and of the web series “Milano Horror Stories”. Strongly inspired by the American underground scene, he is the only Italian author to have his comics published in the legendary American magazine MAD since 2018. As an accomplished author, with stories that often blend social satire with horror or sci-fi, he has published in Frigidaire, linus, Il Male di Vauro e Vincino, Splatter, Mineshaft, and Chicago Comics. He currently draws for La Revue Dessinée Italia, where he edits the columns "Storie Incredibili" and "La Grande Conspirazione."

His books include: I Sopravvissuti and Cronache dal Virus (Eris Edizioni), Belzemorio, manuale di Stregoneria Postmoderna, and Sinfonia Infernale, concerto in Bosch minore (24Ore Cultura), Salamoia Sunrise (Latitudine 42), Milano Horror Stories, incubi dalla Rigenerazione Urbana (Afa Edizioni), and Guida Turistica agli Aldilà Possibili, a collective project curated with the editorial staff of Čapek.
