SLOPPY TALKS
by Elsa Klée, Lucile Ourvouai, Karla Paloma, Martina Sarritzu with Tommaso Buldini
Friday, November 15 at 8.30 PM | DAS

Daydreaming, voyeurism, spiritual quest in wrong places, interpecies pregnancies, struggling against the enstablished order, epic failures, catastrophic dates and unpopular opinions on non-violent communication: Elsa Klée, Lucile Ourvouai, Karla Paloma e Martina Sarritzu, starring in the Rosa masticato exhibition, will host a special reading at DAS to present their self-produced comics to the audience.

The menu features:

Karla Paloma reading "Anti Baby", a tale from her volume Ratas. "Anti Baby" revolves around a thirty years old woman struggling to live up to social expectations about motherhood;

Martina Sarritzu enacting some excerpts from La signora dei bianchini e la sindrome dell’estasi perduta, an account made up of daydreams, botched kisses, shenanigans, drop-down cascading prosciutto and rebirth. The reading will be supported by Tommaso Buldini, playing the keybord live for the first time ever;

Elsa Klée reading the first few pages of Good Allies by Elsa and the Haters. A thrilling act alongside the main characters from the saga and their dilemmas - what will Klée’s heroines sacrifice, in the name of the battle? Accompaniment by a specifically-composed sound track, with an exclusive self-produced piece;

Lucile Ourvouai performing some extracts from the Autumn in Berlin anthology and In Mamie Luluce’s head for the first time ever. Ourvouai will be playing as Mami Luluce, her know-it-all grandma-self, sharing anecdotes from past with her niece.

Free entry.

Readings by Elsa Klée, Lucile Ourvouai and Karla Paloma to be hosted in English; no subtitles will be used. Reading by Martina Sarritzu to be hosted in Italian.
