Magda Guidi

Magda Guidi lives and works in Pesaro and has been teaching Animated Film at the ISIA in Urbino since 2018. She graduated from the two-year advanced program at the Istituto Statale d'Arte in Urbino, majoring in Animated Film. She began drawing animated shorts in 2000 and immediately began winning numerous awards. From 2008 to 2010, she collaborated with the renowned Italian experimental theater company, Societas Raffaello Sanzio, creating animated sequences for the play L'ultima volta che vidi mio padre, directed and written by Chiara Guidi. In 2011, she created the animated short Via Curiel 8 (Sacrebleu Productions, Les Films Du Cygne, with the participation of Arte France) together with Mara Cerri, which won first prize in the short film section at the Turin Film Festival that same year. The film also received a special mention at the 2012 Bruz National Animation Film Festival. She worked on the production of La Route des Samouni, a documentary film by Stefano Savona, with animation by Simone Massi (Picofilm, Dugong, Alter Ego, Arte France, in collaboration with Rai Cinema), which won best documentary film at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. In 2016, she directed Scavami dentro, an animated music video for Danio Manfredini, produced by Sotto-Controllo. In 2017, the documentary film Ferrante Fever was released, directed by Giacomo Durzi and Laura Buffoni, with animated clips by Mara Cerri and Magda Guidi, produced by Malia Film. She is considered one of the leading exponents of contemporary Italian animated cinema. Her films have been selected at the most important European film festivals, at the Forum Des Image in Paris, in the United States, and in Southeast Asia.

ALMA (Associazione Libera Marchigiana Animatori) presenta una rassegna di 17 cortometraggi animati realizzati da professionisti affermati a livello internazionale e da giovani autori/autrici appena usciti/e dai loro percorsi di studi. Gli autori, formatisi alla Scuola del Libro e ISIA di Urbino, passano il valico di confini fisici, temporali e identitari attraverso il linguaggio poetico dell'animazione. I racconti ci parlano di memoria, sogni, ossessioni e desideri. Oltre e altrove, mondi e stanze, gli uni accanto agli altri separati da pareti di carta.

Introduce Magda Guidi, intervengono Riccardo Ambrosi, Giacomo Giovannini, Marco Ceccolini, Anastasia Genghini, Ahmed Ben Nessib.
